Goldman Sachs pointed out that uncertainties related to winter weather have further widened the volatility range for TTF natural gas prices this winter. TTF, or Title Transfer Facility Dutch natural gas futures, serves as the core benchmark for European gas trading. Fluctuations in its price typically have a direct impact on energy costs in Europe, industrial production schedules, and even residential heating. Winter is already the peak demand season for natural gas consumption in Europe; factors such as temperature changes, inventory levels, and supply capacity can all affect prices. The unpredictability of weather undoubtedly amplifies the risk of price volatility.
